形態特徵

• Annual or biennial herb; stems prostrate, tufted, branched upward, 20-45 cm long, soft-pubescent above in lines.
• Lower ones petiolate, upper leaves sessile, blade ovate to oblong or suborbicular, 5-20 mm long, 3-6 mm wide, obtuse or acute and mucronate at apex, obtuse to rounded at base, chartaceous, entire, mostly glabrous on both surfaces, margins sometimes ciliate; petioles 2-8 mm long, hairy.
• Flowers solitary or several in terminal or axillary cymes, white, 6-8 mm in diameter; pedicels 4-40 mm long, slender, hairy; sepals 5, oblong to ovate, 3-4 mm long, obtuse at apex, scarious margined, soft-pubescent; petals deeply 2-lobed, lobes lanceolate, 2.5-3.5 mm long, acute at apex; stamens 3-5, sometimes 1-7, filaments free, slender, shorter than sepals; styles 3, distinct.
• Capsules ovoid, 5-valved, longer than sepals; seeds slightly flattened, l-1.2 mm wide, with semirounded obtuse tubercles.

• 台灣 : a common weed throughout the island, roadsides and fields.
• 世界 : Worldwide distribution.
